Marjorie Araya Guarda

Research Assistants

Marine biologist at the Austral University of Chile. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, during which she has carried out operations using various advanced techniques, including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), polymerase chain reaction, and traceability measures.

Her management responsibilities include coordination and conduct of field and laboratory work related to the dynamics of intertidal and subtidal communities in the extreme south of Chile.

She currently assists in the maintenance and development of experimentation subject to several variables within the context of climate change. She is an assistant research technician for the FONDECYT project, “Disturbed and unstable? Functional impacts of the extinction of dominant, habitat-forming species on coastal marine communities”.
