Lorenzo Palma Morales
Mr. Palma is a Journalist, with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication, Humanities, and Social Sciences from the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh). He also holds a diploma in Investigative Journalism from the Universidad de Chile and a Master’s degree in Rural Development from the UACh.
Mr. Palma has acted as Communications Manager for a variety of projects, advocating for the sciences and environmental issues. In particular, he has collaborated on projects carried out by the Universidad Austral de Chile, CORFO, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Explora de Conicyt, and the Environmental Protection Fund (FPA). More recently, Mr. Palma has collaborated with the project Cultura CTI (STI Culture: Science, Technology, and Innovation). He also worked as a journalist for the Diario Austral de Valdivia.
In 2011, Mr. Palma received the “Jorge Torres” prize, awarded by the Extension Coordination of the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, UACh, in recognition of his work. Moreover, he won the Second Thesis Contest for Citizen Interest Themes organized by the UACh and the initiative Nueva Región Como Vamos (Ninth Region How We’re Doing) for his 2012 undergraduate thesis.
