Gonzalo Campos Arellano

Research Assistants

Engineer at Renewable Natural Resources from the University of Chile, with a Masters in Rural Development from the Austral University of Chile. He has worked with fishing communities on problems related to vulnerability and poverty in the southernmost region of Chile, developing measures for environmental protection and sustainable resource management .

Gonzalo is currently doing data collection and preparation from on-site interviews from various members of the small scale fisheries, along with analysis for editing and publishing scientific and technical reports to assist in decision making. He participates as a representative for the IDEAL Center management committee for the Southern King Crab and the Chilean Snow Crab in the Magallanes region of southernmost Chile.
